DC Black Phuket (March 1-3)
Hey! We just got back from DC Black NYC. It may have been the best DC Black event we’ve had since we started this community 16 months ago.
Though we’re still recovering from the super eventful weekend we had together, we’re already looking forward to the next event and working to make it even better than New York.
DC Black members in the eastern hemisphere have been pleading for an Asia event, and we’re excited to finally make this possible for the first time in Q1 2025. We’re hoping this will become one of our new annual spots for DC Black gatherings.

The Venue: Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach
This five-star resort rests on the pristine sands of the secluded Tri-Trang Beach, surrounded by tropical foliage and lush mountains. It’s also not far from Patong Beach's entertainment hub.
We know that fitness and wellness are important to DC Black members. Good news — the resort has a well-equipped 24-hour fitness center. There are three pools and lounge areas to hang out and keep the conversations going between activities.
There are also nine restaurants, children’s activities, and a day spa. Perfect amenities if you’re planning to bring the family with you. The Marriott is competing to be the nicest venue we’ve ever stayed at. Take a virtual tour of the resort here.
The resort has also given us an extended block of available booking days, so if members want to arrive early or stay late, they can still get the special rate for a few days before and after the event.

Phuket is your oyster! Most attendees at DC events like to hang out after to do some sightseeing and explore as a group. Don’t be afraid to book two or three extra days to enjoy the resort and the island.
