Meet More Members (In-Person and Virtually)

Energy is high after DCBKK. Let's keep the momentum going by meeting and connecting with more members!

This post lists the best ways to meet members in person and virtually. I encourage you to take action. The more you contribute, the more you'll receive in return.

See Members Near You

Our Locator Tool shows you all the members nearby. This can help you gauge how many members may be able to paricipate in a local meet-up.

You can also directly message the members on the app!

Participate in Your City's WhatsApp Group

If you haven't yet:

  1. Join the WhatsApp group community and your local group chat

  2. Introduce yourself in the chat! Take action by sharing how long you'll be in town and if you're open to meeting up with other members. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there.

Host a Meet-Up or the Monthly Junto

Anyone can host a local event. All you have to do is set the time and the place. If your local chapter doesn't have a monthly Junto planned, go ahead and host it. Here's how to get started:

  1. Choose the date for the Junto and ask who can make it in the group chat (use a WhatsApp poll or emoji reactions)

  2. Choose the location and activity and share it with the group!

Want to do something even more casual, like a morning coffee? That's a great event, too! Go ahead and share in the group chat.

Add Your Travel Plans to the App

When you add your upcoming trips in the app, other members will know you're coming to town.

The local members will be alerted and can reach out to you.

It takes a few minutes and is completely worth adding in your trips to the app.

Get Matched for Quick Convos with Coffee Calls

This is the fastest way to meet more members. All you have to do is RSVP and show up! You'll be matched with other participants for 10-minute conversations. Great connections have been made from these Coffee Calls. Give them a shot!

Organize a Mastermind

Is there a topic you'd like to discuss or are you looking for consistent accountability? Organize a mastermind or an accountability group using the forum.

All you have to do is:

  1. Set the topic and goal of the group

  2. Make a post solicic interest

  3. Choose the recurring time to meet

Consistently meeting with a group peers has done wonders for countless businesses in the DC.

I hope you take action this month to meet more members! Please share what has worked well for you and any tips you'd like to share.
