Without question, my favorite words to type every year are… DCBKK is back.

For those who've never been, DCBKK is our community's largest annual gathering.

If you'd like to join, it's important that you reserve your spot today as 30% of tickets have already been sold.

The early-bird prices you see now are only available until May 18th (if you wait the prices will go up by many 100's of dollars).

If you’re a community member, grab your ticket in the forum. If you’re not yet a member, apply to join our community.

DCBKK at a Glance

DCBKK is a 4-day event for members of the DC. It is hosted at the 5-star Conrad Hilton Hotel in Bangkok.

The event is about engineering serendipities. Connecting with fellow founders. And a little bit of adventure.

Our goal is to facilitate as many meaningful conversations between business owners as possible.

Just grab your ticket, book a flight to Thailand, and good things are going to happen.

What’s new in 2023?

Our DCBKK motto is same same, but different. We want to deliver the core of the DCBKK experience while throwing curveballs, running experiments, and finding reasons to bring long-standing DCers back to the big dance.

If you’re a long-time attendee, you can expect:

  • Improved Mastermind matching (more in-depth matching process, and tables for members who would like to use sessions to discuss personal challenges related to business.

  • More meetups. DCBKK 2022 saw more pre, post, and “during”meetups than ever. Whatever your interest, there’s probably a meetup for it!

  • A continued focus on relevant connections and smaller, more curated gatherings in great spaces.

  • Improved VIP and sponsorship options (launching to registered attendees this summer).

  • More members contributing and on stage than ever, including a live presentation of the wildly mediocre TROPICAL MBA PODCAST DCBKK edition.

Also, last year we threw 200 Tuk Tuks at you, who knows what we’ll come up with this year…

—> See the Tuk Tuk insanity.

DCBKK History

DCBKK started in 2012. It was dawning on us the power of co-locating with like-minded founders.

At the time, we were flying to some fairly remote locations with shaky WIFI to do so. We thought, why not meet someplace convenient, with world-class amenities?

Bangkok was suggested as a city that had a great airport, killer prices, and world-class accommodations.

At the time, I barely knew the place. But it sounded fun.

And even back then, Bangkok wasn’t the easiest place for us all to get to.

But in retrospect, that’s always been part of the charm of DCBKK.

Many of us will suffer through some jet lag. And last minute long-haul packing shenanigans. But we’ll suffer together.… in a 5-star hotel pool… with a pillow menu (!?)… and some of the world’s finest food.

It’s a collective adventure. And we’re all in it together.

I can never predict what can happen at these events.

As team member Jeff often says, “I’m often not sure what I’m going to get out of DCBKK, but I’m sure it’s going to be good.”

From rooftop gatherings, food tours, workouts, workshops, presentations, and masterminds. A trajectory-changing conversation is always just around the corner.

Over the years, DCBKKs legacy has come from its attendees– as you grow to new heights and return to share your stories and help each other to the next level.

For me, the event has sustained as an easy button - just get on that flight -  to one of the most memorable and meaningful weeks of the year.

DCBKK Schedule

DCBKK 2023 takes place over 4 days in October, from 19-22 at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

After you register, you’ll receive detailed schedule updates via email and our event app.

Overview:

  • Thursday, October 19th - Meet-Up Day

  • Friday, October 20th - Mastermind Day

  • Saturday, October 21st -  Mainstage Speakers and Workshops

  • Sunday, October 22nd - Mainstage Speakers and Workshops

Thursday:

Thursday revolves around discussion-based meet-ups, including a new members meetup.

If it’s your first time to DCBKK, join us on Thursday and we’ll match you with some like-minds before the weekend begins.

Meetups are member-driven, prepared in advance, vetted by the DCBKK team, and on unique, specific topics. They take place in quiet conference rooms at the Conrad, which have refreshments, and AV. Meet-ups are 1 hour each and are led by a member host.

On Thursday, lunch is not hosted in the hotel. Instead, members organize their own lunches together or head off to explore more of the city.

By the end of the first day, you’ll have made handfuls of connections with those passionate about similar topics.

Friday:

On Friday, we get down to business. Despite being optional (you can buy tickets with or without the Mastermind), 80% of attendees participated in Mastermind Day at our last event. It is often reported as the highlight of the week. Not many of us are able to sit down with other entrepreneurs and have a focused discussion about business for an entire day.

If you join us, you’ll be hand-matched with a group of entrepreneurs with relevant experience and aims. It’s a great way to build a connection with fellow members.

Saturday:

Saturday is the start of our speaker content. We kick off the morning with a live version of the Tropical MBA podcast and other mainstage speakers in the ballroom of the Conrad. There is a break for lunch at the hotel. The afternoon is spent in specific workshops, where you can choose which speakers and topics you’d like to attend.

Sunday:

Sunday, we continue with our workshops and speakers. The format is the same as Saturday, the only difference is that the workshops are in the morning, and we close the conference in the ballroom.

Our closing party marks the end of the official 4-day event as well as the start of new ideas, opportunities, and partnerships. Celebrate and unwind from a whirlwind of a weekend with friends new and old.
