Gift 30 Days of the DC to a Friend

A question we’ve received recently is, “How can I invite friends to the DC without sending them to the homepage?”

We’ve now built an easy way to send an invite that includes 30 days of membership so they can get a sense of what we’re all about. Keep in mind, all referrals are still vetted and applications are gone over in detail. If you have questions about whether or not somebody would be a good fit, reach out to us!

You can check it out in the Connect section of the forum.

It’s simple:

Add your friend’s name and email
They will receive an email from the DC team inviting them to apply
If accepted, they’ll get a complimentary 30 days

We’re tracking the invites so this October at DCBKK, we’ll have some gifts for those who’ve brought the most qualified entrepreneurs into our community.

Speaking of applications, we’re always looking for founders who:

Have Fun and Open Personalities. We love those who are positive, have a sense of humor, and often have interests and hobbies outside of business.
Are Ambitious but with Community-first intentions. One of the things we review in applications is why people want to join the DC. We’re looking for entrepreneurs who have a lot to contribute from their own experience and are looking to connect with peers. We filter out applications when the intention is to grow their business through leads gained here.
Have built Interesting businesses we can learn from. We love hearing from a wide variety of interesting models and industries, that breadth of business experience makes meeting DCers in person especially interesting.

We’re Hiring for Two Positions!

The DC is hiring for two roles and we hope to finalize the hires by July. Feel free to share them around if you know anyone who may be interested and would be a great fit.

Mastermind Group Facilitator

DC Accelerator is onboarding 40 members and masterminds are being formed as we speak. We’re looking to bring on a Mastermind Facilitator to run some of these groups and help the participants work towards their goals.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has worked as facilitator/Chief of Staff/Director of Ops/or similar
Knows how to manage and lead groups of professionals and lead critical meetings
Alternatively, we’re also looking for anyone who has owned and exited a previous business.

Customer Experience Coordinator

This new team member will provide fast responses, manage subscriptions, and support DCers. We aim to provide the best possible support to our clients.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has incredible communication and organizational skills
Has worked professionally in a fast-paced environment and customer facing roles
Has either worked as a project manager or in customer support roles

What are ‘DC Online Masterminds’?

A Mastermind is a group of 6-7 committed entrepreneurs who meet virtually once or twice a month for an hour or more to hold each other accountable and discuss problems and solutions in their businesses. The group commits to meeting for at least 3 months to achieve a rhythm, and consistent support, and to overall learn and grow together.

A mastermind is not a place to expect group members to teach you. Nor should you expect members to solve your problems.

The meetings are held virtually on either Google Meet or Zoom. The participants discuss topics related to their business and entrepreneurial journey, including:

Accountability
Success and struggles
Solving challenges
Business improvements and strategy
Some groups also choose to discuss personal issues.
All members equally participate, listen, and ask questions to understand and support each member’s needs.

Do I qualify for a Mastermind?

Our Mastermind Rush is open to all community members. We believe in the power of consistently connecting with other entrepreneurs invested in your success. However, we ask members to self-select before applying.

A DC Mastermind isn’t for you if:

You cannot commit to consistent calls and supporting the other members of your group
You’re not open to honest feedback
You are frequently traveling with your timezone and schedule changing

Members will be removed from their groups and jeopardize their ability to join future Masterminds if they:

Are rated poorly by other group members
Reported by other group members
Lack communication
Frequently miss meetings

These masterminds are member-led and are a great way to form friendships and consistently talk business.

Update: DC Accelerator Masterminds

The first DCA cohort has closed and the team is busy creating masterminds.

Over 70 applied, and almost half joined us on this journey. This is a great group of ambitious founders who will start meeting in July.

We’ll keep you updated on their progress and when DCA masterminds open up again.
