July DC Updates: New Look, Mastermind Rush, Upgraded Coffee Calls, and Events
Hey everyone! This blog post is a recap of the latest community updates and what members have been up to over the past few weeks.
The DC Has a New Look
Last year, the team got united on taking a serious look at our brand colors and logo.
We felt the limitations of our branding around events, especially when applying our logo to apparel, stages, badges, etc…
Dan’s suggestion of commandeering the Road House movie poster was popular, but sadly infringed on copyright law.
Therefore, we brought in the experts. The DC has a new look thanks to a pro design team.

New Mastermind groups kicking off in July
After a big mastermind rush in May and June, DCers started their first mastermind sessions in July.
This year, DCers have the opportunity to join one of the three types of masterminds we have available in the community:
DC Accelerator - The program offers monthly facilitated masterminds for founders on their way to 7 figures. Interested in being part of the next opening? Learn more about the program.
DC Black - This program offers monthly facilitated masterminds for founders who have passed the $1M mark and are continuing to scale. If you are interested in participating in the next Mastermind Rush for DC Black in October, learn more and apply here.
DC Community - These Masterminds, facilitated by our team but led by members, are also a great way to find accountability and gain insight from other members. +100 members have started new groups and we're actively placing members into groups through a waitlist model. Good Times at DCX London
Some of the DC team was lucky enough to attend DCX London last month. The hosts did an incredible job connecting attendees and making an event of 100 DCers feel intimate and warm.
We’re already discussing how to implement what we’ve learned at DCBKK and DC Mexico.
Coffee Calls are BACK - NEW Feature available in the forum
“Coffee Calls” are still the easiest way to meet more DCers. Just show up, and you’ll instantly have easy convos with other members.
We’ve been doing Coffee Calls for the past few months and the concept is the same, however, there have been some tech updates.
Make sure to join a few minutes before the call starts so you can toggle on and off DCers you’ve already met and don’t want to talk with during that call. Say “goodbye” to being matched with someone twice!
You can choose to only speak with other DC Black members if you’d like:
You’ll also see your matches and who else is participating in Coffee Calls. When the timer for the call runs out, your call will end, and you’ll be sent back to the app to join your next call.
